Michelle Sly offers strategic advice & planning in change, growth or solidifying existing operations. She is also a corporate & executive coach and develops high performing teams to help execute her client’s business vision.

For over 15 years, Michelle has been advising both the corporate and non-profit sector on matters of business leadership and good governance through her coaching & consulting practice, Sly Enterprises, LLC. Her particular passion is helping organizations and executives fulfill their professional & business purpose. She has worked within the financial, healthcare, media, technology and veterinary sectors.

Michelle served as the Executive Director of the Investment Fiduciary Leadership Council in the non-profit sector leading the path toward stewardship excellence. She also represented Roland│Criss in the delivery of their fiduciary advisory services to the Advisor and Non-profit sectors throughout the United States. Since 2008, she has been involved in an effort to move organizations and corporations toward leadership and stewardship excellence.

Previously, Michelle held management positions for over 10 years in global business and investments with the Rohm and Haas Company (Dow Chemicals) and Delaware Investments (Lincoln Financial). Most recently she was a partner with a Pennsylvania based member of the M Financial Group, an Investment Consulting Firm where she focused on building their Institutional advisory business.

Born in Rochester, NY, Michelle is a citizen of both Canada and the United States and continues a presence in both countries. Michelle has specialized as a fiduciary advisor by completing both the Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst program, AIFA®, (Fiduciary Insights 360), and more recently the Certified Foundation Fiduciary Specialist certification, CFFS™, (Investment Fiduciary Leadership Council). She has completed the 3 Ethos Leadership Training earning the Global Fiduciary Steward (GFS®) designation at The Thayer Leadership Development Center, West Point, NY in conjunction with the Leadership Center for Investment Stewards (LCIS). She is a CFA® charter holder and holds a B.A. in Economics, an Honors Bachelor of Commerce, and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business in London, Ontario. She also completed the AIMSE Course for Investment Professionals at the Wharton School of Business. She is also a Certified Corporate Coach through the University of Columbia in NY (CCCP).  Michelle is a Senior Team Coach Practitioner specializing in Systematic Team Coaching through WBECS.  She also is a Neuroscience of Coaching Practitioner also through WBECS.

Michelle is a resident of the Lehigh Valley, PA where she lives with her husband, Attorney Paul F. Laughlin, Jr. and their son Patrick. She breeds and shows quarter horses across the United States and Canada. She is an accomplished equestrian holding several world and championship titles within the cutting field. Michelle also has a passion for teaching and training dogs to be excellent canine companions. She is a past Board Member of the Pennsylvania Cutting Horse Association, a member of the National Cutting Horse Association, and a member of both the Quarter Horse and Paint Horse Associations. Her family is a member of the Lehigh Country Club in Allentown, PA.

Michelle is a professional member of the Chartered Financial Analyst Society, Fiduciary Insights 360, 3 Ethos Leadership Development Community and the Investment Fiduciary Leadership Council.
